Currently, the Nigeria Police Force has released the list of shortlisted candidates. Information reaching us is that the list is out now.
The main aim of writing this post is to keep you updated on what to do once the list has been released and also all the Nigeria Police requirements for screening.
Police recruitment: PSC shortlists 171,956 applicants for JAMB CBT
The 43,778 applicants who were successful from the specialists cadre during the screening exercise are expected to go through practical tests at a date to be announced soon.
The statement said the Commission, after the meeting of the Police Recruitment Board on Tuesday, February 13th, 2024, approved that the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board, JAMB, should conduct the CBT for the police applicants because of its longstanding pedigree in such examinations.
In the General Duty cadre, 315,114 applicants were invited for the screening exercise out of which 171,956 were successful and shortlisted for the JAMB CBT.
“The 171,956 applicants shortlisted are made up of 25,818 females and 146,138 males.
“Kaduna State will be presenting the highest number of candidates for the tests with 12,343 followed by Bauchi with 10,911, Benue, 10,532 and Katsina,10,457,” the statement said.
In the same vein, Anambra has the least number of candidates for the aptitude tests with 343 applicants followed by Lagos, 504 and Ebonyi, 600.
Successful candidates from the computer based tests will be required to appear for medical examinations before they proceed for training.
How to Check Nigeria Police Shortlisted Candidates 2024/2025
All candidates who applied to join the Nigeria Police are expected to check their names once the shortlist has been released to enable them to prepare for the next stage of recruitment.
To check the names of the Nigeria Police Shortlisted candidates, follow the steps below:
- Visit the official web portal at https://www.npf.gov.ng/
- Confirm Application Status form will pop up
- Provide your APPLICATION ID/PHONE NUMBER
- Click on Submit.
- Select the PDF file containing the names of the candidates who have been shortlisted.
- The list is available in PDF format.
- Save it to your computer or another location where you’ll be able to find it later.
- Open the PDF list and go through each state one by one.
- Take note of the required materials and other details.
Nigeria Police Shortlisted Candidates Requirements and Screening Documents Needed:
Remember to take note of the screening date and the required documents because failure to appear at the screening center on time with the required documents means you have declined the job offer.
After the Nigeria Police recruitment board is done with the selection process, successful candidates will be notified via email and text message. Details of the next phase of the recruitment will also be related as well.
Also, you are required to bring the following documents to the screening center in order to prove you were the one who fills out the online registration form.
- Original and photocopies of your credentials
- A print-out of the submission confirmation page
- A valid means of identification such as a Voter’s card, National ID Card, Valid Driver’s License, National Identification Number (NIN), or International Passport (original and its photocopy)
- Two Recent Passport photographs
